Health care issues of People with Disabilities solved

The most of PWDs meet the obstacles and society discriminated not to integrate into their activities including health service. We investigate that PWDs always meet the problem when they stay at hospital and especially the disabled women with pregnancy are difficult to have access to health care service. That’s why, CDPO held the main workshop about ‘Ministry of Health and Disability Issues’ on May 10, 2007.

The workshop is presided over by H.E Nut Sokhum Minister of Ministry of Health, and participated by DPOs and stakeholders.

‘He receives all suggestions which CDPO requested as well as DPOs in Cambodia, and ministry of health pay attends to PWDs in supporting health care service and to plan to have accessibilities in all hospital in order to facilitate to PWDs who come to hospital.’ H.E Nut Sokhum said.

CDPO, DPOs and stakeholders have made the join statement about the PWDs’ issues concerning health care service and then send it to the ministry of health during this workshop.
