The words of the discrimination prevent People with
Disabilities in Cambodia, especially the integration of People with
Disabilities into their development programs. So Cambodian Disabled People's
Organisation (CDPO) held a workshop with ministry of health in order to raise
the disability issues and sent the join statement which made by CDPO, DPOs and
stakeholders on September 28, 2006 presided over by H.E Sao Chivorn Under
Secretary of State of Ministry of Rural Development.
Currently, Cambodian Disabled People's Organisation held
one workshop about follow-up the join statement which was sent last year on
September 26, 2007.
This workshop was presided over by H.E Sao Chivorn Under
Secretary of State of Ministry of Rural Development. This was joined by DPOs
and stakeholders.
Ministry of Rural Development has integrated PWDs into
their policy and strategic plan. The stands of the ministry are People with
Disabilities are very important for society in Cambodia.
