International Women Day for Women with Disabilities

This is the ninetieth of international women day held to commemorate anniversary of women’s rights that has rights to participate in their society. Firstly, CDPO held the international women day which located at CDPO office in Phnom Penh. It was highly present from deputy secretary of state of Ministry of Women’s Affair, Sisovath Khemavtey and honorable guests from other NGOs of twenty seven to take part in.

The significant topic of international women day is “participating in promoting women and family economic situation.”

The purpose of this which was organized by CDPO and supporting by CT, Maryknoll, ADD and DAC has three:

• Disseminate equal rights of women in society.

• Eliminate violence and discrimination on women with disabilities.

• Promote women with disabilities to participate in social development.
