On 11th June 2025, Representation of CDPO was attending Launching Eventof the Two Disability Inclusion Buses in Phnom Penh under Representative Mr. KEO Chanarith, Governor, Phnom Penh City Bus Authority on behalf of His Excellency Khuong Sreng, Governor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Government and Ms. Meloney Lindberg, Country Representative, The Asia Foundation.
The “Promoting Disability Inclusion in Public Buses in Phnom Penh” project, a collaboration between the Department of Urban Public Transport (MPWT1), the Phnom Penh City Bus Authority and Cambodia Disabled People’s Organization (CDPO), This project aimed to improve public bus accessibility for people with disabilities, Funded by the Ford Foundation and implemented by the Asia Foundation in 2024-2025.
This event aimed in collaboration with the Phnom Penh City Bus Authority, a launching event will promote the public services of the two adapted buses. The event will be presided over by a representative from Phnom Penh City Hall, with around 80 participants from project partners, donors, government institutions and People with disabilities.
